Shandon Hotel Wedding

Martin and Frances decided to have their wedding ceremony and reception in the Shandon hotel, Dunfanaghy, Co Donegal. A beautiful wedding venue, the Shandon hotel & spa overlooks the breathtakingly beautiful Sheephaven Bay. It’s located on the Wild Atlantic Way Route being just a short drive from Dunfanaghy and Horn Head.

Frances and her bridesmaids got their hair and makeup done in her own house that morning. The bride and her bridesmaids looked absolutely stunning, thanks to the talented hair and makeup artists, Glam by Rosie and Tarmara O’Brien.

At the same time Martin and his groomsmen were getting into their suits in his home house. We got a few photos of Martin and his family with Muckish mountain as a backdrop.

The wedding ceremony

Frances and her father arrived at the church in a vintage white wedding car. Fr Sean O’Gallchoir was the officiant that oversaw the marriage ceremony. After exchanging their wedding rings and signing the register, they made their way back down the aisle with their kids leading the way.

The wedding venue

While the guests were enjoying the drinks reception we went for some photos. We got some photos in Ballyconnell Woods.

After the meal and speeches Frances and Martin cut their wedding cake. As Keltic Kaos were setting out we headed out for some night time portraits.

The evening entertainment was provided by the brilliant Ketlic Kaos, who kept the guests dancing into the early hours of the morning. The newlyweds shared their first dance surrounded by their guests. Everyone was then invited to join them on the dance floor
