Ruth and Tommy’s Wedding: A Charming Celebration at Knockranny House Hotel, Westport, Co Mayo

Love knows no boundaries, and for Ruth and Tommy, this sentiment rang true as they journeyed back from the bustling streets of New York to the tranquil beauty of Westport, Co Mayo, for their wedding day. Knockranny House Hotel provided the backdrop for their joyous occasion, a day filled with heartfelt moments and laughter.

The Preparations

The day began with a sense of excitement in the air as Ruth and Tommy separately prepared for their big day at the luxurious Knockranny House Hotel. Their anticipation was mirrored by the hustle and bustle of Annmarie Hughes and Amanda Conlon. The talented makeup artists who skillfully enhanced the natural beauty of the bridal party. The team at LS Hair Salon worked their magic, creating stunning hairstyles.

Meanwhile, just down the corridor, Tony and his nine groomsmen suited up in handsome dark grey suits. The boys had time for a quick drink before heading to the church.

The Wedding Ceremony

Ruth and Tommy’s wedding ceremony took place in the quaint Balla church, Ruth’s local chapel. Arriving in true style, Ruth and her father made their entrance in a vintage wedding car. The ceremony was officiated by Fr Carney, a warm and affable presence who oversaw the exchange of vows and rings.

As the couple exchanged rings and sealed their promises with a kiss, the air was filled with an overwhelming sense of joy and love. The greeting line that followed allowed the couple to share these sentiments with their nearest and dearest. The picturesque church doors provided the perfect backdrop for family photographs.

Following the church ceremony, the newlyweds ventured to Beltra Beach for some wedding photographs. Despite the challenges posed by the strong wind that playfully tugged at Ruth’s veil, the beauty of the location shone through. The majestic Croagh Patrick mountain majestically towering in the background.

The Wedding Reception

The wedding festivities continued at Knockranny House Hotel, where a sumptuous meal was enjoyed by all. Heartfelt speeches offered by friends and family celebrated the journey of Ruth and Tommy, evoking both laughter and tears. As the evening progressed, a surprise awaited Tommy from his loving bride – a singing pizza delivery boy, adding an unexpected touch of whimsy to the celebrations.

The Evening Entertainment

The evening’s entertainment was skillfully handled by The Bentley Boys, a band that ensured the dance floor remained alive and vibrant throughout the night. The melodies and beats kept everyone in high spirits, celebrating the union of two souls with infectious enthusiasm.

Their decision to return to Westport, Co Mayo, to tie the knot exemplified the importance of their home and roots. As the Bentley Boys’ music resonated through the air, it was clear that this was a celebration that would be etched in the memories of all those who had the privilege of being a part of it.
