Eadaoin + Padraig’s Wedding Day
Eadaoin and Padraig had originally planned to have all their friends and family at their wedding but Covid 19 put an end to all this. When the restrictions were announced Eadaoin and Padraig decided to postpone their wedding until 2021. Instead of having to wait another year to have their wedding and with the church allowing them to go with their original date but with no more than 10 people, Eadaoin and Padraig decided to go ahead with an intimate family wedding.
When I arrived at the Nic Geidigh house everything was really calm. Pauline, Eadaoin’s sister and bridesmaid, was putting on her own makeup while the bride was sitting back and very relaxed, while her hair style was being done by one of her friends.
Delores, the mother of the bride, helped Eadaoin into her beautiful wedding dress and after a few family photos in their front garden with Magheroarty Beach in the background, it was time to go to the chapel.
Padraig was already waiting at the top of the aisle of the Church of Christ the King in Gortahork when his bride arrived.
Pauline was the first up the aisle, followed by Eadaoin and her mother. Delores gave her son in law to be a massive hug at the top of the aisle and then got one in return from Eadaoin.
Father Sean Gallagher was the officiant that celebrated the wedding ceremony. After Eadaoin and Padraig said their wedding vows, exchanged their wedding rings and had their first kiss as a married couple. It was then time to go back down the aisle where some of their friends and family were waiting outside to congratulate them.
For the bridal photos we went into the Poisoned Glen and also got a few photos beside Dunlewey Lough.
It was then back to Eadaoin’s home house for the family photos.
Thanks for having me as your photographer.
