Lisa and Liam’s wedding day in Dunlewey Church followed by the wedding reception in The Viking House, Kincasslagh, Co Donegal.
I met Lisa at her granny’s house outside outside Crolly, Co Donegal. One of Donegal’s most picturesque area, under the shade of mount Errigal. Lisa and her bridesmaids, Sinead and Christina were in the final stages of getting the final touches done to their hair and makeup. Aisling O’Donnell from Studio One was there from early morning doing all the girls makeup.
Liam in the meantime was getting into his suit in his parents house in Dungloe. His bestman and groomsman, Damien and Danny were there to help him get dressed. As everyone was ready when I was leaving we got some family photos in the garden. Even the dog came in for a few pictures
The bide, Lisa was helped into her beautiful wedding dress by her mother. We got some family photos out the front of the house. Even though raining fairly hard it didn’t seem to bother Lisa at all to get photos in it.
A beautiful vintage white wedding car brought Lisa and her father to the Dunlewey Church. It has to be one of Irelands nicest churches.
Fr Brain Ferry was the officiant that celebrated the marriage ceremony.
Liam and Lisa exchanged their wedding rings on the altar as their guests looked on. The newly married then made their way down the aisle to be greeted at the door by their friends and family.
There was confetti thrown at the newly married couple left the church by their friends.
The posited Glen has to be one of my favourite locations in Donegal for photos. As the arrived the heavens opened and it started to lash rain. Lisa has packed herself and Liams wellies. So they took the shoes off and put on their wellies and we headed into the Poisoned Glen with two umbrellas for some photos. As we got closer to Mullaghderg Beach the rain started to ease off. The bridal party all got out for a few more photos.
The Viking House hotel
It was then onto the Viking House hotel for the wedding reception. Once owed by the famous Daniel O’Donnell.
The staff of the hotel were waiting at the entrance with some bubbly for the newly married couple.
There was a drinks reception and a cocktail bar in the reception area of the hotel for the guests while they waited for the bride and groom to arrive.
After the meal, speeches and the cutting of the cake were finished, we headed out for some sparklers photos.
Liams parents had organised a surprise of a fireworks display for the couple.
