Congratulations to Aibhinn and Mark who got married on the 27th of October 2020 in Thornhill Church, Derry.
Bride Aibhinn Doherty got ready at her parents house just outside Derry City. Groom, Mark Pentleton got ready in Sorley’s Boy Snug and his mother Corinne was on hand to help with the tie and button hole.
The Church at Thornhill was looking amazing with great floral displays and lots of beautiful little touches. Aibhinn’s grandfather, Giles provided the lovely wedding music. The ceremony was celebrated by Fr Colm O’Doherty.
Videographer was Simon Barr Media. We got some photos around the gardens in Thornhill Church using the beautiful autumn colours. We then went into the Craft Village in Derry City for another few photos. The bridal party had a quick stop for some coffee and hot chocolate. Before leaving we got some photos in front of the Derry Girls mural.
They had originally planned to have their wedding reception in Harvey’s Point hotel then it was changed to Drenagh House but in the end up Aibhinn and Mark were not able to get a wedding venue due to the restrictions so they had some food back in her home house. Before the food arrived we had time to get some photos on the Peace bridge just as the sun was starting to set. Aibhinn and Mark went ahead with 25 guests and it was such a beautiful and fun wedding day – and they are now looking forward not only to a happy life together but to celebrating the whole thing again with a big group of friends and extended family as soon as it’s possible.
